“Each one of us deserves the opportunity to live the best life we can. I view therapy as the one place in life that allows people the accepting space, free from judgement but filled with hope, to discover who they truly are.”
Anne’s first passion is to help her client’s become their authentic self. She understands the impact of this discovery firsthand and that it will lead to a life that is more fulfilling, more gratifying, and more successful. By providing an environment that is unconditionally accepting and inclusive, her clients feel accepted and free to express their true feelings and thoughts. She believes that by partnering with her clients in a safe and supportive environment, they will be able to gain a better understanding of their own truth and a life that can be regret-free.
Her integrative therapy style draws on several therapeutic approaches. Anne’s natural personality is warm and empathetic, humorous and honest. She partners with clients to help them discover their purpose in life and successfully work through what brought them into counseling. Anne takes the time to understand what brings her clients into therapy, learns each client’s personal histories and perspectives and collaboratively facilitates self-discovery, clarity, action and positive growth.
At Next Step Counseling, Anne successfully works with concerns surrounding body image, self-esteem, anxiety and depression. She also helps those experiencing relationship concerns, as well as, career development, stress or transitions with those in both the corporate and creative industries. Lastly, Anne is passionate about supporting clients who are searching for life purpose, those looking to feel better about their phase of life or themselves in general.
Anne is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University where she majored in Vocal Performance. After her years in the corporate sector, she decided to pursue her passion in counseling psychology. She is a lifelong student of the performing arts including everything from Opera to Improv and loves to utilize humor and creativity as a therapeutic tool. She is also an abstract artist in her free time and loves to utilize the arts in her therapy style.
