“Each one of us deserves the opportunity to live the best life we can. I view therapy as the one place in life that allows people the accepting space, free from judgement but filled with hope, to discover who they truly are.”
Anne Leiter, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Anne believes that our past experiences shape our lives and that it is important to carefully examine critical and sometimes difficult moments. She believes that there is no “quick fix” in therapy and that true change takes time. By doing this, we are able to acknowledge and process associated emotions ultimately helping us to become our healthiest selves. Anne primarily uses Psychodynamic theory while incorporating mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment, and Relational Therapy. She is warm and empathetic, humorous and honest. She provides a safe space where clients can explore and hopefully discover their purpose in life. Anne takes the time to understand what brings her clients into therapy, learns each client’s personal histories and perspectives, and collaboratively facilitates self-discovery, clarity, action and positive growth.
Anne’s goal is to help her client’s explore and discover who they truly are. She understands the impact of this discovery firsthand and that this exploration can lead to a life that is more fulfilling, more gratifying, and more successful. She provides a therapeutic environment that is unconditionally accepting and inclusive, her clients feel accepted and free to express and explore.
